Artist's Description

This oil painting was my reaction to the destruction of the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in NYC on Sept. 11, 2001. The hawk, which represents war, is clutching an olive branch, symbol of peace, in its talon. The sheet of paper represents the irony as thousands of pages that floated down undamaged, but thousands of innocent people died.
