This portrait of my beloved Shetland sheepdog shows him just after a romp in the snow. Shelties love to play in snow, as well as eat snow. Perhaps this is reminiscent of their ancestral home on the Shetland Island in Scotland.
About Sandra Chase
Sandy is a graduate of The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in Philadelphia. She has won awards in numerous jury shows and has had four solo exhibitions in New Jersey and Maryland. Sandy has been painting portraits of family pets, domestic animals, and wildlife in oil or colored pencil for 25 years. She currently lives with two dogs, three cats, three koi, and her husband, Max.
