When I paint in my home studio, Teddy, my little sheltie sleeps under a chair there. He always puts his chin on the chair rung. He even sleeps there when my art class meets in the studio. Teddy is upset if someone moves his chair. I started this painting in acrylics, but switched to oil, my favorite medium.
About Sandra Chase
Sandy is a graduate of The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in Philadelphia. She has won awards in numerous jury shows and has had four solo exhibitions in New Jersey and Maryland. Sandy has been painting portraits of family pets, domestic animals, and wildlife in oil or colored pencil for 25 years. She currently lives with two dogs, three cats, three koi, and her husband, Max.
