Artist's Description
I painted Zeppy's portrait for a wedding anniversary gift from a client. After I took several photographs of this adorable beagle outside and in, he finally settled down on his blanket near his favorite toy, Lovey. I managed to capture his soulful expression in the photograph, and then in oil paint.
About Sandra Chase
Sandy is a graduate of The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in Philadelphia. She has won awards in numerous jury shows and has had four solo exhibitions in New Jersey and Maryland. Sandy has been painting portraits of family pets, domestic animals, and wildlife in oil or colored pencil for 25 years. She currently lives with two dogs, three cats, three koi, and her husband, Max.
